Friday, February 4, 2011. It has been a long and stressful time since we booked this trip back in the summer. Trying to manage the fire department applications, trips back and forth to Ontario, and regular life - weekend duties, working nights, going to school in the evenings, sleeping/studying/responding to calls during the days, and working out in the mornings has kicked the crap out of me and its finally over. Saturday, February 5, 2011. The start of the first full day in Hawaii! Our house looks just as good in the light as it did at night. And our view from the beach, or from the balcony, or from the rooftop patio. all equally as awesome. We went into Costco this morning to get our food. In the end, more money was spent on clothes and booze. I personally, got 6 new pieces of clothing! I'm not much of a shopper but how can you pass up $15 quiksilver boardshorts? We got to use our beach today too!

Saturday, February 12, 2011. Polynesian Cultural Center and Diamond Head Crater. Two days ago we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was a long day but definitely worth spending as much time there as possible. The rest of the day was just relaxing and an early night, since we had to get up at 6:30am to got to Hanauma Bay. Thursday, February 10, 2011. Dole Plantation and the North Shore. I think I'm going to keep moving West. Its hard to get working rights in the states so I'm going to skip Hawaii and go straight for Australia. Heat, sand, and surf. Sold. Sunday, February 6, 2011. It was a pretty busy first day. We did a lot but it was nice because it was relatively spontaneous and done at our own pace. Today is a hang around the house day because of superbowl. It kinda worked out because its raining and a little overcast so its a nice day to have no plans.
