Monday, February 11, 2013. Adventure at the Dinosaur Museum. We met Ben, Brenda, Amelia, and Cavan at the Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park. We discovered that it was one of the few months of the year that all the kids are consecutive ages. So, here are the little Hobgoods about to be chomped by a megalodon: Molly (2), Cavan (3), Amelia (5), Owen (6), Wyatt (4).. Monday, February 10, 2014. Happy 5th birthday, Wyatt! Wyatt is now 5! He is very excited and is constantly telling us about new things that he can do or knows about "now that I'm 5.". His actual birthday was on a school day, so we just had a happy day with the family and opened a few presents, which was his favorite part. Sunday, March 24, 2013. When looking through the pictures for Owen's birthday post, I came across so many cute pictures (mostly of Molly! That I just had to do a little picture roundup post. This was Molly's washing-the-car outfit one morning. Laila and Wyatt are the best of friends. They laughed through an entire meal when visiting in late February. Sunday, July 28, 2013. Josh has been back at work for a week and the boys will start school in a couple weeks, so I thought it was time to go through the last pictures of our summer adventures. This is Wyatt on the 4th of July. He was having a blast. Our big highlight of July was a Belteau-family trip to Grand Lake. We went on some hikes. Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Happy 8th Birthday, Owen! This sweet little guy just turned 8! He loves posing when he's excited:-). I can't believe how much they all look alike in this picture! This year, Owen chose to have a "Minecraft" birthday, which is a favorite video game of 2nd graders everywhere. The green guy in the poster is a bad guy in the game. Since the game is all about mining, we made "dirt dessert" for a treat, as if the kids were mining into the dirt and grass to eat. Look at that face!

Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Spring Break in Moab. This year, the Hobgood 5 left Colorado and headed to Moab, UT for Spring Break. Despite a stomach bug that swept through part of the family, we had lovely weather and had a great time meeting up with old friends and exploring Arches National Park and the area surrounding Moab. Sunday, June 23, 2013. Megan Lake backpacking trip - June 2013. In mid-June, the Hobgood 5 set out on our first family backpacking trip. Our plan was to hike to Megan Lake, an alpine lake in the Sangre de Cristos, which was a 2.5 mile hike from the trailhead. However, the road was a little too much for our car, so we parked about 1.5 miles from the trailhead, put on our packs and headed into the mountains. We made it to the trailhead! Friday, January 24, 2014. Happy 3rd birthday, Molly! Molly turned 3 last month, on December 22nd. This was the first birthday that she had when she really knew what was going on and was super excited! We opened presents with just our immediate family in the morning. Monday, April 8, 2013. We spent the last half of our Spring Break in Los Alamos, NM with Becky, Devin, Logan and Laila. If you asked our kids, the highlight of the trip was playing non-stop with their cousins, especially on the trampoline. One the. Highlights was this fun hike. Owen is really concentrating on his solo trip up the ladder. Molly didn't worry one bit about climbing a ladder by herself. Devin made sure she stayed safe:-). Posted by The Hobgood Five.
