Civic Duty and Tradition. 8221; I was an opinionated little democrat even then…. Every election, I went with my mom to vote. I remember times when she said she might not have time with her busy work schedule and I’d get mad, telling her she had to do it. I’d nag her until she finally took me, right before the polls closed at night. This morning, I got up early and walked with Liam in his carrier to the church down the street to continue the tradition and fulfill my civic duty. I want I want I want. 2 New...

Life is so fragile. I’ve been reminded of this a lot lately. Two weeks ago, one of my colleagues fell while hiking and has severe brain injuries. She is now awake and talking a bit, but she has a long road of recovery ahead. She also has a one and a half year old. The day after that accident, my mom, stepdad, and brother were all in a bad car accident. Everyone is ok, thankfully, but when I pulled up to pick them up and saw the car, my heart sank. I could have lost my whole family that day. You are comme...

We had a pretty lame NYE, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t appreciate how wonderful 2012 was to us. It gave us our beautiful baby boy and lots to be thankful for. At least Liam got fancy for NYE. For 2013, I have a few things in mind I’d like to focus on to improve myself, but I’m not huge on resolutions, so let’s call them goals. 1 Be healthy. Go on walks, eat right, yadda yadda yadda. We’re taking family photos in less than three months, so I’d like to look good for those. Home from work →. Enter your em...

Holiday Cards 2012 | dandelion paperweight
https://dandelionpaperweight.wordpress.com/2012/12/28/holiday-cards-2012
I copied a picture I found on pinterest (never was able to track down the original source) and I think it came out pretty cute. I love having all of the cards we received hanging up on the coat closet doors so I see them right when I walk in the front door. It’s like being greeted by all of my friends and family each time I come home! I hope you had an amazing holiday season. Stay tuned for a New Year’s resolution post because I know you haven’t had enough if those lately…. July 24, 2013 at 5:49 am.

On the Way to Somewhere Else. The Lost Boy – Living Legacy. Lifelet: The Many Grays of Puget Sound →. Lifelet: The Three Stages of a Catholic Mass. March 23, 2015. On a recent Sunday, we had the present of the presence of our oldest grandchild. Young Alice was kind enough to join us for the 10am mass. As we snuggled into the last row of the church, Alice climbed on my lap and enjoyed the opening hymn. She settled in for the good news from the gospel reading. Liturgy of the Word. Liturgy of the Eucharist.
