On a Gentle Glide. Wednesday, 22 April 2015. Day out New Brighton. I have just bedecked the boat with bunting ready for tomorrow, St Georges day I intended to put more out but I have left a lot in my Flag locker on the Marina but I am flying the flag and by doing it early many other boats have been encouraged to do the same (plenty of flags on sale in Liverpool) I hope I have started the trend. The iconic Liver Building. Buggerlugs half the bunting missing but I managed bow and stern.

In my last communique I said we would be back in Fettlers by the Thursday But as with everything with boating we are very fluid and things rarely go to plan and to that effect we are still here in Scarisbrick. Last night we had a bit of a DO on buggerlugs we had Steph Phil and Emily onboard for dinner a great night and a fitting end to our stay. This is the story of narrowboat Tormentil, how we came to buy her and the adventures we hope to have. Friday, 5 June 2009. The weather was hot and got hotter during the week up to 32C. This was good aclimatisation for my return last weekend when we had such great weather in England. I had half a day to sightsee and managed to get to the Jardin Majorelle which was a lovely quiet rest from the heat. These gardens mix architecture, colour and plants and I got some good pictures.
