Although we all like to think that showing alpacas is a level playing field, that is far from the truth. Because of the long, hot, dry summers that we expereince it is imperative tha all alpacas are shorn irrespective of age, this is not only for the comfort of the animals it is also necessary to protect the fleece from damage from dust and seed.
