A very special place in the North Georgia Mountains. 11 January 2008 by charleydobson. Last night it rained heavily most of the night. This morning everything was soaked. But the sun was shining. Looking out the window at breakfast, we saw an unusual sight. The trees trunks were smoking! The heat from the sunshine on the dark wet surfaces was producing steam, lots of it.
