2011 - what a full year! 2011 was a monumental year for me. The last year of my 20s, opening a community art space. Mail art 365, and travel in 5 countries- new zealand, singapore, australia, japan, thailand. My resolutions were creativity, vulnerability and circus. I feel i did pretty ok on the first two, but the third one still needs a great deal of work. From Boxing day 2010 to Boxing day 2011, I made a piece of mail art every day. Keeli moved back in after several weeks away. Melbourne and Rotorua...

I am a Camera. In 2007, a collection of my stories was published in book form by Local Consumption Publications, accompanied by illustrations by Keg de Souza. There are still a few copies available for purchase here. The book was launched at the Camperdown Bowling Club with a cake in the shape of a typewriter, a huge pass the parcel and a portrait of the Queen looking on. The World’s Ugliest Teapot | Vanessa Berry Мир
https://vanessaberryworld.wordpress.com/2015/07/20/the-worlds-ugliest-teapot
I am a Camera. The World’s Ugliest Teapot. July 20, 2015. Recently, on one of these stops, I found the world’s ugliest teapot. I spend my days advising students to be careful when making bold, general claims. However I believe this teapot is in fact the world’s ugliest, with its perplexing aesthetic combination of onions and haemorrhoids. Upon Googling “world’s ugliest teapot”. A number of other candidates arose, but while the toilet teapot, the Adolf Hitler teapot and the obese rhinocerous teapot. Image...

A fictional story about living next door to myself, a paean to the suburbs, with a map of Everysuburb in the centre of the zine. Read a review of it here. Glitter and Spite: July 2013
http://glitterandspite.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Politics, culture, education, and possibly some attempts at humour. Monday, 29 July 2013. On Friday I got news that a close friend at work had died. Tomorrow I go to his funeral, where students and staff will try to be strong for the rest of what must be a wonderful family. I felt like remembering him tonight. We sat once in midsummer, surrounded by children and shared a moment of chaste intimacy. You told me that you really weren’t looking for a relationship right now, I laughed and said you f...You sha...
