ALTAIR Balloon Calibrator Project. Gallery of selected images. Video of the GC-3 flashing LEDs. LedSourceGC3.mpg. This 30-second clip was taken as Fred passed from 13,700 to 14,500 feet. The instrument is a CCD camera at the prime focus of a 50 mm f/4 objective. This telescope was mounted piggyback on a Meade LT-6 with tracking mount. Pointing is executed by the LT-6 under the control of a MatLab program that uses the telemetered GPS data stream as input. Mounting shake due to wind.
