Some people think that if there is 10 minutes of prep, the 2NC should evenly divide prep time for the 2NC and 2NR in a 5-5 manner. To these people I laugh and say "that is not the optimal prep time distribution newb". Why is this? That's a lot to get done in 5 minutes, I think it would be better with say 8 or 9.
