I have not yet met our featured Guest Artist, however Sherre has had the privilege of meeting her while they attended the same class together at the Asilomar Art Retreat recently and suggested that we feature Lindy Trenholm in our August Zine. My first assemblage was created from an old manual court recording machine that someone had given me. I call her Miss Noteworthy. She is my first assemblage and my favorite, so far." Pictured above, Miss Noteworthy's fashion, sports the original steno paper that was still in the machine when Mary received it. The little bottle on the bottom of this assemblage (kind of hard to see-but it's there! Is full of microscopic alphabet letters. Don't you just love how Mary uses this assemblage! Sure had me fooled!

Daylight Savings Time is coming! Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour on March 8th! Our featured project this month is courtesy of Lesley Venable: "Fabric Gift Bag". A quick and easy project with very few supplies other than a sewing machine, you would need: 2 fabric scraps *thin decorative yarn * sewing thread * a needle with a large eye * scissors. Pretty basic supplies! Sherre chose to write her review on this wonderful book, published by Watson-Guptill Publications/New York 2008.

I had the privilege of spending a fabulous day, in Boise, Idaho this past month. Lynn is also a very talented carver. She used a Moose antler for this carving:. And a branch for this:.
