The UT Law Class of 2007 Blog of Record. More Proof That I'm a Fantastic Mother. Jan 4th, 2009 at 5:20 PM. I had Hellfire's and Damnation's school stuff all packed and ready to go for tomorrow only to discover that they don't actually go back to school until Wednesday. That sort of conflicts with my plans to return to work tomorrow. Best of Wings&Vodka (2006). Paragon to Pieces (2009). Real World Austin (2008). Austin Criminal Defense Lawyer. Namby Pamby Law Student. Overheard in Law School.

THE CHASE: Strange days
http://chase45.blogspot.com/2009/06/strange-days.html
Twentysomethings growing in a strange world. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. It's about time I got back on this horse. I have a lot to talk about too. Anyway, this is a recap of my day today. All of this is true:. Wake up at 3am bc I can't sleep and couldn't go back to sleep. Drive to airport for 640am flight-sit next to lady on the plane who is wearing one of those light blue medical mask things you put on your face. She is old. She is also asian. I am thinking she has swine flu. I become nervous. Thankfully lu...

THE CHASE: Saturday Night in Austin, Texas
http://chase45.blogspot.com/2006/10/saturday-night-in-austin-texas.html
Twentysomethings growing in a strange world. Monday, October 23, 2006. Saturday Night in Austin, Texas. In the second part of a post-midterm drinking double header weekend, I went to 6th street last night. As was usual, I went to 6th street with friends from grad school and friends from undergrad. As was also the normal case, we all drank a lot. Jaeger bombs, beers, jello shots, the usual. In what may go down as the most agressive deal closing (if you can even call it that) in Gulf Coast history, my frie...

The UT Law Class of 2007 Blog of Record. Jan 7th, 2009 at 6:26 PM. Most days I love my job. Most days I'm really happy when I can do some good for my clients and I'm disappointed when things don't go as well as I'd like. Most days I'm proud of the work I've done, and I appreciate it when my clients and/or their families say a simple thanks and smile and shake my hand. The joy of clients. 1 comment Leave a comment. Six months and counting, y'all - Amicus Curiae

The UT Law Class of 2007 Blog of Record. Six months and counting, y'all. Nov 20th, 2008 at 6:10 PM. So, I reached my six monthaversary at work yesterday. This joyous day is supposed to be marked by a meeting with one of the higher-ups and the removal of my probationary status. It is not supposed to be marked as being the busiest day of my (still very short) legal career. I've had days when I've had more things scheduled than I did yesterday, but yesterday everything was URGENT. On the plus side, I've hel...

The Christmas Dismissal - Amicus Curiae
http://amicus--curiae.livejournal.com/229714.html
The UT Law Class of 2007 Blog of Record. Dec 17th, 2008 at 9:36 PM. This little poem was inspired when my co-worker explained to me about The Christmas Dismissal. It's really meant for that case that scheduled to pick a jury right after the holiday that the defense stands a good chance of winning, but I thought it would much more fun if it went like this. Twas two days before Christmas, and all set to plead. Was a baby attorney and her client with weed. The judge sat at his bench and called out the cases.
