My Sweet Life...: The Joys of Parenting a 3 year old...
http://kokonutlime.blogspot.com/2009/04/joys-of-parenting-3-year-old.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2009. The Joys of Parenting a 3 year old. I was locked out. Of my house the other day by my three year old. He thought this was funny. . . Mom didn't. My five year old happened to be outside with me- she had followed me out to ask a question while I was running the baby's diaper to the trash (this is what I get for not having the cloth diapers cleaned and ready to use). My baby was in the house. With my little tazmanian devil. Now giggling that mommy's face was red. While we were datin...

Re-Learning Birth: More Groundwork
http://attainablebirth.blogspot.com/2009/08/more-groundwork.html
Wednesday, August 19, 2009. All women deserve to have the final say in the circumstances of their birth. No pregnant woman would deliberately make a choice that would endanger her baby. To outright indignation that I would "endanger" my baby "so selfishly" ("But, that's so DANGEROUS! And "No 'experience' is worth a baby's life! I learned that birth is not something that is done by someone else, but something that the mother and the baby work at together. ("That's why they call it 'Labor'! I learned that ...

three blues & two pinks: October 2012
http://theneedforpead.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Three blues and two pinks. Monday, October 29, 2012. My mom tries to visit us every 3 months. She usually comes for big events, like birthday parties, so i don't lose my mind. We have decided that she needs to stop coming for parties because that is literally ALL we do. We hiked, played a ton and did party stuff. that was about it! We never get to the organizing and projects that we want to. We always have a lot of fun with her and she always brings fun stuff for everyone. We've got to change that! We ha...

three blues & two pinks: January 2013
http://theneedforpead.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Three blues and two pinks. Monday, January 28, 2013. Nolan's "allergic reaction" turned out to be periorbital cellulitus. We tried one antibiotic and that didn't work, then we moved on to some shots and another oral antibiotic. So far, so good but we will see. I have thoroughly enjoyed my "Nolan time" while Griff has been in school. Magz naps and we play Wii, read books and do school stuff. The kid is smart as a whip! There is no going back or having to repeat things. She uses her stroller as a double.

three blues & two pinks: June 2013
http://theneedforpead.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Three blues and two pinks. Saturday, June 15, 2013. I actually really love summer and don't mind being hot and sweaty. I love the way the sun feels on my skin so much! Our activities get limited when it gets hot though and that makes me nervous. Both boy's did an art camp for a week and that helped. Griff did a cartoon drawing class and Nolan took a painting class. We also have a few trips planned this summer (Panguitch Balloon Festival, Beaver Mountain and Park City for my sisters wedding). They actuall...

Re-Learning Birth: The "Re" in Re-Learning
http://attainablebirth.blogspot.com/2009/08/re-in-re-learning.html
Friday, August 14, 2009. The "Re" in Re-Learning. Medicine has saved and prolonged many lives, especially when it comes to the birthing process. It does, however, seem to me that the best use of modern medical practices, if you opt to use them at all, is in CONJUNCTION with our bodies natural tendencies and abilities, as opposed to replacing our bodies capabilities with artificial urges.
