Tuesday, July 17, 2007. There was so much new stuff to play, I could barely fit in the David Bowie! I have realized that I am pretty mainstream when it comes to my indie tastes. I really like the new Spoon. Song/single, The Underdog. I haven’t listened to the rest of the album yet. Posted by yelhsacrow at 8:37 AM. This is the blog for Alphabet with Ashley, Thursdays from 12-1 pm on the voice of Vanderbilt University, 91.1 WRVU Nashville. Check it out at www.wrvu.org. I used to have a little zine.

Alphabet: December 2005
http://alphabetrock.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 29, 2005. For last Tuesday’s show. During the show, I talked a little about the music-related gifts I received for Christmas:. The Beatles: The Biography by Bob Spitz. The Beatles: Let It BeNaked. On casual listen, I can’t tell a radical difference. It sounds a bit cleaner. Perhaps my ear is ignorant. The booklet detailing how Let It Be came to be is really interesting. There’s an extra disc featuring an audio recording of excerpts from the sessions pretty cool. I got to be the lovely ...

Wednesday, October 10, 2007. The station's playlist tracker wasn't working on Tuesday morning, so there's no playlist for this week. I don't remember what I played, but I distinctly remember that you didn't miss anything. Posted by yelhsacrow at 2:29 PM. Hey this is Andy, Gary's friend. What was the Harry Potter song you played on liberadio? I was wanting to find it to show my wife. We've become big HP fans lately. Tell G I said hey. And listen to the most recent show here. I used to have a little zine.

Monday, March 27, 2006. Ode to a Talking Flute. Here’s this week’s playlist. I absentmindedly keyed the last song in incorrectly. It was the Jeff Lewis Band doing a cover of Schwervon’s Swamp Thing. The song before that was Schwervon doing a cover of the Jeff Lewis Band’s Heavy Heart. Both appear on the Gas Money Tour EP (2005). Our Six O’Clock Special was a three-song set from the soundtrack to that classic 1970s drama, Pufnstuf. Perry’s friend Peter visited this morning as well. I am still pondering my...
