Memorial Day marks the unofficial beginning of summer, and a scant five weeks later we are celebrating its zenith. What remains of the season, mostly, is humidity, sunburn, and mosquitoes, until the aptly named Labor Day sounds its death knell and we turn our attention to more serious matters.
