The Altona Meadows Community Centre was built in 1991 by Hobsons Bay City Council. Since then, it is has grown into a vibrant and inclusive Community Hub meeting the needs of local residents in the following areas. Vocational training, Arts and Craft, Sports, Hobby, Leisure and other Recreational activities are either provided directly by tutors employed on a sessional basis or provided by external (private) tutors and trainers who hire out rooms in the facility and include:. The main foyer of the building displays our talented students original artworks and handmade crafts. All items are for sale at community prices and layby is available. Items include both large and small original artworks in all mediums: oils, acrylics, watercolours, pastel and charcoal. Craft items include handknits, jewellery, woodcrafts and more.
