How to get here. Alton Water is situated approximately 4 miles South of Ipswich, adjacent to the A137, (Ipswich to Manningtree road). The entrance to the site is on the B1080 in the village of Holbrook, half a mile from the Royal Hospital School. From the Hire Shop, take the track over the zebra crossing, follow the path for 1 miles until you reach Wonder Car Park. Take the cycle track through Wonder Car Park for 2 miles until you reach Lemons Hill Bridge and the half-way point. Route (B) more challenging.
