Thursday, 2 July 2015. My Town is Famous Again! Following up its previous claim to fame for having the worst Christmas Tree in the country, my little town is in the national news again. JAWS: ‘Great white shark’ spotted off Herne Bay coast causes exodus of terrified swimmers from sea. Could have been a horrific incident, you would have thought that this news would have spread like wildfire. But, um, no. Tuesday, 4 August 2015. A while back, Mrs RC made a nest box for a pair of doves that were extremely bad at nest building. The box worked, the doves moved in and here are the babies they had! The adults have now rebuilt the nest and seem intent on having more babies before the summer ends. When we found this in the garden I thought it was some sort of snake at first. We celebrated by tying up loose ends at the college he’ll be attending this fall, then dropping my Hubby off at the airport for his week long business trip to Utah. There was some fun, though. Just another WordPress.com site. My Perfect Hot Chocolate Cupcake. Ingredients for 24 cupcakes. 1 3/4 cups flour. 3/4 cup cocoa powder. 1 1/2 tsps baking powder. 1 1/2 tsp baking soda. A good pinch of salt. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 3/4 cup skim milk. 2 tsps vanilla extract. 1 cup of hot chocolate (made very strongly). 2 cups of sugar. How-to Make the Cake. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside. 1/3 cup cold water.

Thursday, 4 April 2013. As Hubby RC and I had recently decided to have a long overdue honeymoon,I required a passport. This would have been a simple matter of filling in a form, getting a photo done, getting a friend to sign the photo and sending it off, a few years ago. Six weeks later you were ready to go. Not anymore. The walk to the identity office was quite nerve racking, what if I give the wrong answer? What if I fail to prove it's me? 4 April 2013 at 11:29. 5 April 2013 at 12:04. I want ear plugs.

Monday, 3 August 2015. Back to things after a week's break, mainly at home. Not a very restful week, but still great fun, including going to a niece's wedding in the village that Mrs RC grew up in. We had a family stroll through the village while being regaled with childhood memories, including admiring the tight bend on the road where Mrs RC's mum once fell out of the car and had to run along the road to catch up.
