An ongoing history of almost everything. Thursday, January 1, 2015. We've managed to make it to birthday number 4 without doing a full on party but since in her head it's totally happening, and since she's so over the top excited about the whole thing, and since she's already inviting people, we figure this better be the year of the birthday party. And then came the birthday cake. For some reason having friends and family sing to her made Charlotte want to curl up into a ball and cry:. Present opening wa...

An ongoing history of almost everything: ONE LAST HURRAH
http://ongoinghistoryofalmosteverything.blogspot.com/2014/11/one-last-hurrah.html
An ongoing history of almost everything. Sunday, November 23, 2014. For Charlotte and I, summertime means Disneyland (thanks to Mickey Mouse's Military Salute)! This summer though, in a dramatic turn of events, we're enjoying the perks of Ryan's Graduation and the fact that he can actually join us for fun things. Rather than having to leave him behind with his lap-top, his exams, and a large pizza to get him through the week, we brought him along for the trip too. We're all saying it wrong! GIVE ME A B!

An ongoing history of almost everything. Friday, July 18, 2014. A LITTLE POMP AND CIRCUMSTANCE. May marked the month of Ryan's graduation from Dental School. Between the Gala, the graduation for the Military students, the School of Dental Medicine graduation, and the full blown UNLV ceremony it was about as drawn out as the four years of school! Why, a formal kilt of course, leather brogues and all! After the UNLV graduation ceremony- cap, gown, hood, medal and all. Introducing Dr. B:. Ryan asked me if i...

Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Riverwalk and Rainforest Cafe. On our way back home from our quick stay in San Antonio we went to dinner at the Rainforest Cafe and walked around the Riverwalk. It was a really fun night and the kids thought all of the animal sounds at the restaurant were really exciting! Ally took the pictures of Josh and me with the lights of the Riverwalk behind us and it was a crazy realization of our capable our kids are getting. They are growing up fast! We had a wonderful time! When Ally...

Friday, April 9, 2010. Ally is such a good little helper. It sure does make it easier having babies when you have some older kids to help out a bit! I am grateful for Ally's example. Dayton Family Blog: Christmas Morning!
http://daytonfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2013/01/christmas-morning.html
Thursday, January 24, 2013. The girls are always so excited on Christmas Morning! Grandma Dayton made the kids their own robes for their Christmas present and they loved them! Jake was given his own robe sack! He loved sorting through his stocking and just hanging out and being surrounded by all of the noise and excitement. All of the girls were given "fur real" pets and they were pretty excited that these could move on their own! It makes it so much more fun to have a boy barbie in the mix! Ben and Joy ...

Saturday, January 30, 2010. Josh passesd his test! In November Josh came home and told me that he had signed up for the SPHR exam for work. He wanted to take this test last year, but was unable to because he was on a recruiting trip. It seemed like bad timing with the fact that I had just started having these leg and feet issues and that I was so busy in my calling, but is there ever really a good time? The Lord was so merciful and Josh passed! He took the entire 4 hours and could've used more time!

Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Ally's kindergarten and first grade teacher Miss Hendrix has just been such a special person to out family. We all love her dearly! This summer she wanted to help Ally prepare for 2nd grade so she offered to tutor her once a week for free! She said she just wanted to, so how could I turn that down? Plus, Ally adores her and thought the chance to go to her teacher's house once a week was sooo cool! It was SO generous and SO amazing! She said she wanted to come with us, so next...

Dayton Family Blog: February 2010
http://daytonfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 22, 2010. Jake's appointment with the specialist. On Monday we were really anxious to go and see the specialist (hematologist/oncologist). One of the test results came back saying that they found my antibodies in Jake's body! That was actually good news! The doctors (about 3 of the specialists spoke together about Jake's condition before we came in) all thought that this was the route of his problem. This was one of the scenarios that we were given and it was the best case scenario!
