8230;one stitch at a time. Skip to primary content. Ultimate to Quilt List. December 11, 2013. I decided to share some of my goals for 2014. Some are very lofty and others I can easily do right now:. Publish a quilt (fingers crossed). Create a portfolio/ submit designs to fabric houses. Keep a minimum of $200 of merchandise in stock on my Etsy shop. Market my Etsy shop. Bet you didn’t know I have one? Blog once a week (try to keep a schedule). Make more quilts and sandwiches to practice FMQ and binding.

My life, in various craft manias - fabric design, sewing, quilting, dyeing, batik, shibori, screen printing and weaving. And many things, I am sure, I haven't thought of yet. Wednesday, May 21, 2014. The All Echino Super Loud Supertote! Well, after I decided I couldn't piece on my Janome (with my Pfaff in the shop! I set about cutting out another noodlehead. Using my hoarded Echino. I tried out several combinations of linen fabrics (I, um, have a lot of echino in my stash), before settling on Kalmia.

I'm a New Englander who enjoys writing, sewing and taking photographs. I named this blog "apple cyder" because my husband's family used to own a wonderful cyder mill and my husband still occasionally presses small patches of cyder for our family. It really has nothing to do with my favorite hobby -sewing- but so it goes! Thanks for stopping by. If you'd like to use any of the content from this site, please request permission. You can reach me at acyder {at} gmail {dot} com. Clever little cape pattern.

I modified Nicole’s instructions slightly to make twelve petals instead of thirteen. The template I used is here. I had to buy more of the binding fabric to redo it, beca...

Little bits, lots of them. Finished (for now): geranium dresses. Posted by Laura C. Asymp; 6 Comments. Sometimes I finish a project and think, WHY did it take me so long to do this? In this case, the doing itself was quick, but I missed out on TWO WHOLE YEARS of dressing my kid in my favorite fabrics. I may not ever have another little girl to dress, you know? But, enter Made By Rae’s Geranium Dress pattern. The best part about these is that they fit Lucy easy, but tailored enough, so she can layer them ...

Little bits, lots of them. A woman possessed (or, finished: washi dress I). Posted by Laura C. Asymp; 9 Comments. While everything is really just dandy here at littleandlots, I’ve been a little angsty lately. Who knows. I have my secret and not-so-secret suspicions about the reasons. After a particularly angsty day/evening/night, I woke up yesterday morning possessed by the desire to sew myself a dress. You probably recognize this as the Washi Dress. I felt sure I could hang. With that, my new dress and ...
