Many steps on mama Earth
http://www.alwayswalkyourdream.blogspot.com/2012/04/hola-amigos-more-than-three-months-have.html
Many steps on mama Earth. Story of walking the Te Araroa trail in New Zealand. Thursday, 5 April 2012. More than three months have passed since I left New Zealand. The memories I have of last year are still very vivid, and beautiful. Being here provides me the opportunity to do work activities and to discover the different landscapes and many hiking trails. Running is quite tiring, because a flat piece of road is hard to find. Some of you asked me to send some photos. I will post them here. Klik hier voo...

Many steps on mama Earth. Story of walking the Te Araroa trail in New Zealand. Saturday, 28 April 2012. A last little message from. Before I fly home. The passed four weeks flew by. I enjoyed the beauty of this island which is only. Long The colors and landscapes are wonderful. The pace of living is nice and slow. And the local people are very friendly. Happiness is in such small moments. One thing is for sure: this island has many stairs. No, not just a few. But heaps! View from Arure at Tagaluche.
Many steps on mama Earth: November 2011

Many steps on mama Earth. Story of walking the Te Araroa trail in New Zealand. Monday, 28 November 2011. Nelson Lakes national park. After I finished the walk to Pelorus bridge I went in search for some bigger mountains. I found them in Nelson lakes national park. When I arrived in the park, there was a strongwind warning which made it unsafe to start the hike that I liked to do. I was also told a bridge had been washed away. The water level seemed pretty high indeed…. A nice picknickspot in Lake Rotoiti.

Floppy Adventures: Planning
http://floppyadventures.blogspot.com/p/planning.html
I spent quite a bit of time planning what equipment would be best for the Te Araroa. Knowing that it was going to get a lot of use, I invested in some new gear and some I just made do with what I had. We met some Ultra Light Weight hikers and it is impressive to see how light their packs were and we were a bit envious but I was happy with my gear choice. Comfortable and lasted the trip. Sea to Summit ultra-sil 70 litre. Brilliant bit of kit. Terra Nova Laser Competition. Rab Neutrino 400 Woman's. We agre...
Floppy Adventures: Mavora Walkway
http://floppyadventures.blogspot.com/2012/04/mavora-walkway.html
We then walked a section the Greenstone trail which oddly enough I had walked on my last visit to New Zealand 20 years before! It never fails to amaze me how small New Zealand is. At the Greenstone hut we spent a night with a couple, he worked in an outdoor store in Auckland and had sold Madeleine's tent to her; his wife was a nurse and worked with Ella a lovely lady who had put us up for a night on the North Island. Strolling through along the Greenstone track. Rolling under the fence. My sister - much ...
Floppy Adventures: South from Queenstown
http://floppyadventures.blogspot.com/2012/04/south-from-queenstown.html
We said our goodbyes to Phil leaving him to head off to explore New Zealand alone and went to buy our tickets for the Earnslaw. We were informed that it was having engine troubles and it might not depart. Ummm the Earnslaw was built in the same year as the Titanic and it was Friday 13th the same date the Titanic sunk! Maybe the shuttle bus wasn't such a bad idea. The Steamer did depart, I made sure I knew exactly where the life boats where - just in case! Setting off on the Earnslaw.
Floppy Adventures: Nearly there !!!

Next question To Stewart Island or Not to Stewart Island? 17 April 2012 at 10:25. You are truly amazing and inspirational, well done! Can’t wait to read your book! Well you have to dont you?
Floppy Adventures: The Charity
http://floppyadventures.blogspot.com/p/charity.html
Please sponsor me and support a great. Charity The Earl Mountbatten Hospice. My only sister, Maria, sadly died of Cancer on. 7th November 2008,. In the EMH, at the age of 42. Maria was diagnosed with Cancer just five months previously and her illness was far uglier, more debilitating and destructive than I could have imagined. If Maria hadn't had a room in the Hospice I am sure that those last few, precious, days that we shared with her would have would have been much harder for all us. Please sponsor me...
Floppy Adventures: Other Trampers
http://floppyadventures.blogspot.com/p/other-trampers.html
As far as we know, there where 16 of us who thru-hiked the Te Araroa trail in 2011/12. We met either on the trail or at the end 7 of the others and had some contact with another 4, through facebook, text or email. There were also people who walked one of the Islands and section hikers too. We felt as if we were part of a small community and were keen to meet and follow the progress of our fellow TA trampers. The Te Araroa is a personal journey and people choose their own way to undertake the trail. Auckl...
Floppy Adventures: Onwards to Colac Bay & Riverton
http://floppyadventures.blogspot.com/2012/04/onwards-to-colac-bay-riverton.html
Onwards to Colac Bay and Riverton. During the next two and a half days we walked across farmland, through more forests and occasionally on minor roads or farm tracks. The friendliness of the Kiwi people is, as ever, outstanding and although we saw few people at least three vehicles stopped and their occupants asked where we were walking from and how far we had come. Didn't officially open for a couple of hours the owners Jilly and Wazzer welcomed us in. Thanks for the experience Wazzer. If the weather fo...
Floppy Adventures: Tips for Others
http://floppyadventures.blogspot.com/p/tips-for-others.html
Mental and physical strength. It certainly helps to be reasonably fit before embarking on a thru-hike such as the Te Araroa. Madeleine was walking 20 kms a day in preparation but with hindsight wishes that she had done more hill walking. I think that this. You Tube posting by Shalane Hopkins sums up how you can feel at some of the low points on the trail. Shalane Hopkins and her walking partner Alex Ward did complete the trail 2010/11. Wet clean clothes was better that the usual dirty wet clothes! Trail ...
Floppy Adventures: Into Arrowtown and Queenstown
http://floppyadventures.blogspot.com/2012/04/into-arrowtown-and-queenstown.html
Into Arrowtown and Queenstown. Big Hill track was as its name suggests, a big hill from where we made our way to Arrowtown. Arrowtown is a former gold mining town which now makes its money from tourists. It is very cute and I could have easily spend another day there wondering from cafe to cafe but we just spent the one night. Queenstown was calling. 65279;. 65279;. Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown. Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown. Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown. Youve mad it to Queenstown - wow! Loving reading yo...

May you always walk in Beauty
May you always walk in Beauty. A little motivational/spiritual/rambling blog that if I helped one person with my words would make it all worth while. How can I go forward when I don’t know which way I’m facing. Compassion as boundless as the sky. Asked: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INANIMATE OBJECT? There is a light that shines within you,. It’s your choice to make it shine out. A minute’s beauty is worth a year’s pain. Why not be the cause of those 60 seconds;. Those seconds that last beyond time. There is a s...

What did I do to deserve this spectacle? All around me lay the very secrets of nature. Unfortunately, we are too primitive to decipher them. Perhaps, some day two wheels will definitely lead us. To the greatest revelation of all. We are born to discover the world! Tuesday, April 23, 2013. A quick post to remember what I missed writing about - It's been over 6 years now, there have been lots of travels :). 3) The GIO camp. Photography stuff as well! All coming up very soon. Just another WordPress.com site. Day in the Life in Krasnoyarsk continued. March 30, 2016. Always Wandering but Never Lost. So I think I was a bit ambitious wanting to post twice a week. So I think I’ll stick with once a week. I will be doing this “day in the life” series with intermittent posts about my life here in the states and my progress towards health. Enjoy! Here’s part 2 of the series. 1st class wrapping up. They were about 2 hours long. Back on the bus again. Meds, cooking, and pup news. The ha...

Always wandering, Never lost | The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.
Always wandering, Never lost. The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return. Published September 19, 2013. I’m sick of looking for jobs. I have been looking for a “grown up” job since March. I’m sick of it and most of all, I don’t want it. I want to back to college. Ugh, I say. Ugh. On a side note, I officially have pen pals in Germany! Pen PALS, plural. About 9… It’s actually kind of overwhelming. I may be letting some of them go… oops. Published September 12, 2013. Dependi...
