Taken on my run Friday morning. The sun and fact the river isn’t frozen is very deceiving – it was about 15 degrees with a 0 degree wind chill. I think if I was feeling perfect, going out a little quick would have been recoverable, but my legs were still a little tired from Fridays 19-miler, and I had what felt like a brick in my stomach from about mile 1.2 on, which can only be explained by the beer I drank on Saturday night… worth it. Sleep eat love live run. Boston Marathon 2016 Training. Race Report: Boston Tune-Up 15K. April 4, 2016. April 2, 2016 Upton, MA. 2nd Women, 7th Overall; 56:09 (6:01 avg. mile). First hill of the race – I started with the winner, (on the right), but she continued to pick up the pace every mile and I just couldn’t hang! Saturday’s 15K was great. It was my first time racing this classic, hilly, tune-up for the marathon, race in the Boston suburb of Upton, MA, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Last 3: 5:44 pace.
