If You Can't Say Something Nice. Thursday, July 31, 2003. Have you ever eaten something that you've eaten a million times before but. Time it's different- it's tastier, more pleasurable, sweeter, etc? I had that experience with lemon yogurt today. And when I asked this very question aloud in my office, I was mocked. People with no imagination, that's what it is! Last night I went grocery shopping at Trader Joe's. Yeah, yeah, I'm hawkin' 'em. They're good! Wednesday, July 30, 2003. Finally he found the ju...

Because "mediocre" is only half. Friday, March 28, 2003. Sewing Update: Yumiko Shirt. Last night I finished cutting out the bias binding for the neck and arm-holes. I sewed the shoulder seams and put gathers in beneath the bust. I had hoped to do more, but early on I stitched the wrong sides of the fabric together and had to undo the seam with a seam ripper and start over. Maybe I'll have time to get a little done tonight. Because "mediocre" is only half. Wednesday, March 12, 2003. So, I said I would post here on my projects, and so far I haven't. That ends now. Sock Dogs. For those of you (all two of you) who have been reading my regular blog, .or die trying! You'll know that the Sock Dog is my current obsession of the week. I downloaded a set of directions from a cotton propaganda website. After seeing the absolutely adorable ones on Hugo the Ferret's. I finished my purely decorative skinny scarf, and I liked it so much,...

If You Can't Say Something Nice. Wednesday, April 30, 2003. Every day on our freeways, I 'meet' more and more fascinating people who express themselves through their license plate/frame. Today's fave: Chess Players Make The Best Mates. SO, it never ceases to amaze me how people on reality shows whine and complain when the show turns out exactly. Can we say 'Missing the Point Entirely? If you wanted a one-on-one relationship, you might not have wanted to go on this kind of show! And now, on Manor House.

If You Can't Say Something Nice. Friday, October 24, 2003. Sorry for dropping off the face of the blogging world. Haven't exactly felt really up, you know? Sigh) I mean, they really did me a favor, since I wanted to be out of there, but the $ concerns are threatening to overwhelm me, and I've really been working on other things to divert myself so that I don't stress out. Thanks for all of your concerns! Thanks everyone. I'll try to be more regular about blogging next week! Friday, October 17, 2003.

If You Can't Say Something Nice. Thursday, May 27, 2004. Give 'Em The Old Razzle Dazzle. With yesterday's announcement that we should be on alert because of a raised national terrorism threat level, I couldn't help but think of the words to the song Razzle Dazzle. From the musical Chicago. Sing it if you know it! It's all a circus, kid. A three ring circus. These trials- the whole world - all [politics]. But kid, you're working with a star, the biggest! Give 'em the old razzle dazzle. Bead and feather 'em.
