Socks for Me – Jess Knits
https://jessmknits.wordpress.com/2015/06/01/socks-for-me
June 1, 2015. June 1, 2015. I realize I have only finished one of my Syncopation Socks. And so I am at high risk for Second Sock Syndrome. I plan. To knit the second sock, I want. To knit the second sock. The yarn and needles are just sitting there in my bag so I can get started anytime. But. But I have some Knit Picks Stroll in Wonderland Heather that I just really want to knit. And since I enjoyed making the first Syncopation Sock so much I want to knit more socks but tweak things a bit. I figured sinc...

One Sock! – Jess Knits
https://jessmknits.wordpress.com/2015/05/11/one-sock
May 11, 2015. June 1, 2015. I finished ONE of my Syncopation Socks! I completed one whole sock! It is very very exciting! Overall I am super pleased with sock knitting. It went quickly (in actual time knitting, finding the time was a little bit harder lately). I learned a lot of new techniques with this project: the increases used, knitting a heel, and Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off. Like i said before. Syncopation Socks project page. Yarn Stash – Jess Knits
https://jessmknits.wordpress.com/2015/04/09/yarn-stash
April 9, 2015. June 1, 2015. A knitting blog isn’t super interesting when my only progress to speak of is another inch or so on a sock. I could keep posting pictures of my newest rows, but even my need to document every minor achievement in life isn’t that strong. So instead, let’s talk yarn stash. As a new(ish) knitter, I have a pretty small “stash.” I read the forums on Ravelry: I have SEEN. That many of anything. (BUT – if it’s YOU! I got out all of my yarn and laid it out on the coffee table. I j...

The “I Miss You” Hat – Jess Knits
https://jessmknits.wordpress.com/2015/05/12/the-i-miss-you-hat
The “I Miss You” Hat. May 12, 2015. June 1, 2015. I feel a little silly calling this hat the “I Miss You” Hat. But my husband, James, has been working on an important project at work that has required some long hours. And then as the project was winding down, he had a couple of (well deserved! I like knitting hats because they are straightforward and fast: knit in the round, no seaming or changing skills, just work in pattern until it’s done. A few more nights of movie watching and I’ll have it done.

It’s Friday, I’m in Love. This entry was posted on April 17, 2015, in Friday Love. And tagged Adult Contentment. It is WARM. There are flowers and buds on the trees and little bright green leaves and it’s like the cold, depressing winter fog has lifted. If you need a smile for your Friday, listen to the Mortified podcast. People read from their adolescent journals and it is hilarious and so cringe-worthy. It comes out on Mondays which. Helps me start the week. From way back when I wrote for Food Lush).
