August 29, 2015. Day three was a long day of driving, all the way from Switzerland through Germany and into Austria. On our way we made a stop in Füssen to see the famous castle of Neuschwanstein. It is a very touristy area so it was extremely crowded. We had expected this, of course, but we still thought it was worth visiting since it wasn’t too long of a detour for us. September 6, 2015. We had a late lunch at the Green Garden, which turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of the trip. We left Salzburg in the afternoon to go back to our apartment rental. There we enjoyed a home cooked dinner on our balcony, taking in the beautiful view.
