Consumer behavior blows my mind | Marketing Chatter
https://amandavlhatter.wordpress.com/2010/04/26/consumer-behavior-blows-my-mind
How I see marketing in my everyday life. Laquo; Customers don’t care if you have social media. Ingredient Brand Strategy – DuPont. Consumer behavior blows my mind. From the lack of posts, you can see grad school caught up with me a bit. This last class – consumer behavior – was especially challenging. Why people do what they do has always fascinated me, but I never really put much stock into how that plays into marketing. Consumer behavior is something many businesses research – restaurants use cer...

How I see marketing in my everyday life. Customers don’t care if you have social media. February 26, 2010. Maybe they like seeing that there’s a real person behind a company – knowing that when they tweet a complaint or try to connect that they’ll get a prompt response from a human being not following an arcane script. Maybe they love it that you swing by just to say hello. As a business, how do you know what your customers want? Well the weather outside is frightful but the deal is so delightful. ItR...

Building brand equity through products | Marketing Chatter

How I see marketing in my everyday life. Laquo; Ingredient Brand Strategy – DuPont. Why the ‘got milk? 8217; campaign worked. Building brand equity through products. There are plenty of boundaries when it comes to creating a brand, and one of those boundaries can be product development. Does the product speak to the overall feeling of the brand? Are there too many products? As a brand and a company, what can you do to focus on expanding your product line while keeping true to your brand? You are commenti...

How I see marketing in my everyday life. Laquo; Why the ‘got milk? 8217; campaign worked. You need research. Yes, even you. Traditional marketing vs. customer experience. Starbucks – Marketing through customer experience. Intel – Lots of dollars, lots of return. Both of these companies had huge success using two very different marketing methods – but the methods they used were well thought-out and resonated with their audiences. Andrea's Folly: Ordering KFC in Taiwan
http://andreasfolly.blogspot.com/2012/06/ordering-kfc-in-taiwan.html
Saturday, June 9, 2012. Ordering KFC in Taiwan. One of my absolute favorite things about traveling is food. I love food, I love to try new food, I will eat anything once (including the eyes, feet, brains, and testicles of various animals, dog, worms, and insects). But sometimes you just want something familiar - the comfort food syndrome. I experienced this in the worst way during my first trip to Taiwan. While pointing at my breasts and flapping my arms in a gross misuse of the chicken dance. Ok I don't...

Wednesday, April 11, 2012. The Time I Broke My Catholic Muscle. At the basilica, Stations are downstairs in the crypt church which hasn't nearly the seating as the great upper church. Not nearly. So since I only got there about 10 minutes before everything started I didn't get a spot in a pew. Which meant that for the 14 Stations of the Cross I had to genuflect, then kneel on the marble floor. I did not then, and frankly still don't now, have terribly strong quads. Interesting tidbit-Good Friday is the o...

Monday, January 9, 2012. Seriously Steve Madden Has It Out For Me. So not only does Steve Madden hate me. But I really think he's trying to kill me. And the most puzzling thing about this is that I just don't know what I did to him except wear his shoes and look pretty good in them. I mean maybe this was my fault. I was walking after all. I will now correct what I neglected to say initially and mention that I was wearing the same Steve Madden boots that caused me to fall down twice in the airport. Now it...

Tuesday, May 1, 2012. The *Other* Time I broke My Neck. Seriously, this does happen to me multiple times. Being me is super dangerous.*. So-slippery wood floors, winding staircase, narrow narrow stairs, slightly unsturdy and flimsy handrail. Probably that's all you really need to know how this ends but let's keep going anyway. Except I didn't die (or I did and am now the COOLEST BLOGGER EVER! I woke up the next morning and I seriously, no exaggeration at all, could not move. Eventually I was able to star...

Thursday, October 4, 2012. The Time My Brother and Mom Broke My Finger. The two hardest things about this blog are coming up with stories, and making the pictures. However I cannot believe that I forgot about this story so I quickly threw together a couple simple images. Anywho-we stop at Best Buy and pile out of the van. I was clambering down from the front passenger seat, my left hand braced on the van, when my brother slammed shut the sliding door, as you do. Right On. My. Little. Finger. Shop on the ...

Thursday, October 27, 2011. The Time I Tangled* with Chestnuts and Lost. Years after her visit to Taipei, one of the things my mom continues to remark on is the traffic. Often there are no sidewalks or they're very narrow/not well kept or they've been taken over as a parking lot. In Taipei everyone shares the sidewalks and roads equally be it cars, motor bikes, bicyclists, pedestrians, food carts, etc etc. So that's my preface to the time I lost a fight with a food cart. I did get a a handful of free che...

Thursday, September 29, 2011. Not Even Escalators Are My Friends. Until one day it almost did. The escalators at International Square are of the super narrow kind that only has room for one person (rather than two people side by side). I was still in the throes of fear over the scariest experience of my existence. So rather than walking down the very short escalator as I had done in the past, I not only stood for the ride but held onto both railings. However not even that saved me. When I felt well enoug...

Friday, March 25, 2011. The Time I Broke My Neck. I figured my lack of grace and penchant for falling down could only be improved by pole dancing. Why wouldn't I be sucessful? There's a pole to hang on to so no problem, right? That's me doing the pinwheel. Wee! One night fairly early into my class taking our instructor decided to get a little advanced with her pole 1 students. So we did headstands. You can already tell that this isn’t going to turn out well for me can’t you? Hyperbole and a Half. Ok I do...

I have nothing against 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and maybe one day I will read it but right now I look at it as a book full of things, that in real life, would never happen. It just paints another picture of some rich beautiful man who controls a niave young girl. What sets it apart is the unfiltered language and scenarios that we as women aren't used to reading about.
