Last weekend we all enjoyed our Christmas gift to the kids - a getaway to the Montecito. Here we are, a bit tired from our busy weekend playing in the snow. And here are all the families that joined us - our family on the left, the Heeringas. It was also nice to be able to come into the lodge and have hot chocolate, cappuccino. Or hot soup if we needed a break. Daniel is getting ready.

Each cup contained a tadpole or frog grouped into the same developmental stage: tadpoles with just a tail, tadpoles with back legs, tadpoles with front and back legs, and fully developed frogs. It was a little hard to figure out what to focus on - "animals" is a pretty broad topic, and in doing the research to prepare for this, I thought about really doing a more in-depth study of animals. maybe next year? As we all know, Norah's spunky streak knows no end. She can make us us laugh and pull out our hair many times throughout each day. But most of all, (when we're not pleading with God for just a little more patience! We thank God for the wonderful little girl He has given us. she is quite a gift to our whole family! Picking out some good pumpkins.
