Bringing Up Baby: May 2015

Sunday, May 31, 2015. Friday night, Jack and Carter went camping at Stone Mountain. It was Carters first not-in-a-backyard camping trip. They set up Carters own tent, cooked hobo camp meals (hamburger patties, carrots, potatoes and cauliflower) in the fire, and made smores. At the crack of dawn, they climbed Stone Mountain. After packing up camp, they did some more activities at the park before leaving. The boys had fun! Friday, May 29, 2015. That was $5 admission plus three gallons of gas, well spent!

Bringing Up Baby: June 2015

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Friday brought adventures in Baltimore. We started at the Maryland Zoo. (Bonus, our Zoo Atlanta membership got us a reciprocal discount there.) There we saw penguins, chimpanzees and a polar bear - none of which are at our home zoo. Before leaving for the airport to pick up Jack, I introduced the kids to Shake Shack. Carter in particular was impressed by his cheeseburger. Jack had a Friday meeting at work, and flew to Baltimore in time for us to pick him up at the airport on Friday.

http://parkerfamilystories.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 8, 2013. The boys were so excited to have a birthd ay party to attend after school this week! And since it was a rainy day, the Bounc e U was t he PER FECT venue! So the boys were fascinated with the sim ulated hur ricane machine. . . And they tried over and over to conquer the spiderweb, but just couldn't manage (despite help from t he party guy and advice from Mommy). They had fun running around in the black lights with their glow-in -the-dark necklaces, though . Brooks' class made a g...

Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Happy Birthday, Uncle Seany Bear July. We spent the first portion of Uncle Sean's birthday celebration in the water. The boys had to show off their wall-jumping talents (Beckham's first time taking a go at it). So when will it be my turn? Wait Who's birthday is this, anyway? Happy birthday, Seany! Posted by THE PARKER FAMILY. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Beckhams First Day of Kindergarten August. Summer is Drawing to a Close August. Happy Birthday, Uncle Seany Bear July.

A Little Glimpse of Parker: September 2013

Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Beckham's First Day of Kindergarten August. This beautiful 5-year-old bounced out of bed at 6am with a smile on his face on August 7th. He continued to smile the entire time Daddy prepared breakfast and the whole way to the bus stop. . . We made it a family affair ;). Ah There's the smile I was talking about! Beckham took a turn with the camera. Then Brooks took a turn. The exciting moment arrived. The smile faded a bit when he sat down in his seat (and the concern set in).

Bringing Up Baby: August 2015

Monday, August 31, 2015. Jumping in With Both Feet. First day of preschool for the little three. Ellyson is now five (half) days per week, and the twins are four (half) days per week! I am teaching Tuesdays and Thursdays, and have signed up to substitute as needed on my "off" days. Ellyson was so excited that when Jack walked out of our bedroom at 5:30 this morning, she came bounding out of her room, mostly dressed, asking for help with her buttons. Seriously, this girl loves. Mischief, right there .

Sunday, May 26, 2013. Check out St. Catherine's newest preschool grad! And his handsome (yet ridiculously silly) younger brother. And who is that hot babe? Graduation took a few minutes to get started, so Brooks turned to the iphone. . . Oh, there she is! He did such a great job saying his Our Father and his Hail Mary. I totally should have recorded them, but I didn't pull the camera out until the music began :(. We made it halfway through the second song. . . Okay, I've had enough of this singing stuff!
