http://rachaelmortensen.blogspot.com/2015/06/news-and-other-random-things-going-on.html
Small, beautiful events. Saturday, June 20, 2015. News and Other Random Things Going On. I need to get better at this. I used to be so good at blogging, but now. I don't know what happened. Probably because I have no life. Blah. I do have some news. We move next week! Okay, I can't talk about this anymore. Of course you do. INFO 203: Just a introductory course on how to do online school, I have to have it finished before Sep 20-something, but I want to get it done before any of my other classes get start...

Country to the Core: People-Pleasing Debunked
http://countrytothecore.blogspot.com/2013/12/people-pleasing-debunked.html
Saturday, December 7, 2013. This week, I've made an observation that I should've really made forever ago and saved myself a lot of trouble:. People who spend their whole lives trying to please others aren't very likable in the long run. Yeah, I know, look at any Pinterest quote board and it'll tell you that a million times. But sometimes, you have to figure things out for yourself to have them really mean something to you. And I think I finally figured that out this week. So happy to see this up! I love ...

Country to the Core: July 2010
http://countrytothecore.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 3, 2010. It truly is a great day- the 234th anniversary of our country's independence. America truly is a great nation, founded by great men under the inspiration of God. It's constitution is flawless and amazing, and if we stick to the principles outlined in it and the Declaration of Independence, we will continue on throughout time as the greatest nation in History. That sounds like a great cause for celebration to me! The flag, it waves. My heart, it soars. How great it is to be outdoors.

Country to the Core: December 2010

Wednesday, December 29, 2010. It was pretty dang fun! Hidden Lake and Mesa Falls were absolutely beautiful! And I loved the frog we found. Saturday, December 4, 2010. As people around here may have noticed, the weather suddenly went WILD over Thanksgiving. There was a small blizzard almost every day. This looks like the Antartic Tundra. It is our backyard. Welcome to Idaho. Jack seems to be the only one enjoying the whole mess. He's spent the entire week barking at his own breath. I Believe. . .

Country to the Core: May 2010
http://countrytothecore.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 8, 2010. On Thursday night, my dad and I went to a Jon Schmidt. Concert near our hometown. It was amazing! The guy is crazy good, and it made me want to practice my piano like a madman. He played upside down (like above), and with his head, elbows, and toes, too. It was an amazing experience, and he was hilarious, too. My favorite song that he performed was "Love Story Meets Viva La Vida" which he can't play anywhere else due to permission complications, but played at the concert anyway.

Country to the Core: Knights in Shining Armor
http://countrytothecore.blogspot.com/2013/12/knights-in-shining-armor.html
Thursday, December 12, 2013. Knights in Shining Armor. Let's just say that it started out as a good day, and things just went downhill from there. It was one of those days where you aren't sure why everything's going wrong or you're feeling so insecure, and you can't pinpoint the cause of it all, but nothing is right. I felt claustrophobic with worry and pressure, and yet extremely, oddly exposed- like everyone in the world was watching and no one approved. While most of the boys in that cafeteria laughe...

Small, beautiful events. Friday, June 27, 2014. I have been reading up on and embracing (in small steps) a more minimalist lifestyle. Minimalism, you say. And a picture like this might come into your mind. A white room with hardly anything in it. Here is my list of 4 Most Important Things:. 1 The Gospel of Jesus Christ. 2 Family and friends (or important people in my life if you want to make it one thing). 4 Hobbies (books and art). Here is a list of things I got rid of as a result of my first list:.

Small, beautiful events. Wednesday, August 27, 2014. This will probably be the hardest post I will ever write. It’s about something that I have struggled with for over ten years. Something that is really hard to admit I have struggle with. I have an addiction to pornography. The first priesthood holder I talked about it with was my branch president in the MTC. During my mission I was fine because I had no access. It’s pretty easy to avoid something you have no access to. I loved my mission. For you. ...
