They learned a lot and even got a free rod and reel and tackle box. I'm sure you can only imagine what a mess this was. We spent more time untangling lines than casting. Sunday, December 5, 2010. Scalloping in the Gulf. Cleaning them was definately the worst part of it. It was a disgusting job. We also learned that the part of the scallop that you eat is actually the muscle that holds the shells closed. You have to clean all the other nasty junk from around it to get to the good stuff. I grew up within a 3 hour distance from this magical place and had a number of family members that worked for the Mouse. That means we went a lot. I honestly thought that was pretty normal. Monday, June 22, 2009. Happy 4th Birthday Landon. Saturday, June 6, 2009. Happy 7th Birthday Travis! For Travis' 7th birthday we took him to play laser tag and put-put with his 3 best friends. Jarrett, Gavin, Ben and Travis. Travis made a hole in one! Landon's first sleep over. Landon had his first sleep over with his friend Parker. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Coming out of their shell. My mom finds turtle eggs in her backyard all the time. She kept these so we could watch them hatch. After they came out of their shell, the boys let them go in the lake. The water park in Jacksonville is one our favorite places to go in the summer. Camping in St. Augustine. This day on the beach, we just relaxed, fed the seagulls, caught some fish and watched the kids play. Mom rode a few waves too. Monday, January 26, 2009.
