http://www.rajeevmahajan.com/2013/09/indigo-at-its-lousiest-best.html
Keep the flame alive! Sunday, September 15, 2013. IndiGo At Its Lousiest Best. After enjoying the delights that have made Hyderabad a gastronomical paradise. We had to settle for a morning flight, hoping to get back to Mumbai to salvage whatever was left of the Independence Day, and we gladly chose IndiGo's flight 6E-247 departing Hyderabad at about 7.30 AM, as so far I had pleasant experiences on IndiGo that I have documented on this blog. But that was not to be, as I was soon to realise. The stupid sou...

http://www.rajeevmahajan.com/2015/07/a-journey-into-jungfrau-aletsch.html
Keep the flame alive! Monday, July 13, 2015. A Journey Into Jungfrau-Aletsch. We woke up to a cloudy day, our first morning in Grindelwald. We were up pretty early as obviously our body clocks were still on Indian Standard Time, 3.5 hours ahead of local time. And we had to be in time to catch our train to Jungfraujoch! Our excursion today took us to Jungfraujoch. We exchanged our booking vouchers at Grindelwald station for tickets to Jungfraujoch - Top Of Europe. We overheard her tell the Koreans that th...

http://www.rajeevmahajan.com/2013/08/fortress-risotto-conquered.html
Keep the flame alive! Sunday, August 25, 2013. After a long time, our creative juices we in free flow, and yes the digestive juices too! After having a ham and pumpkin risotto last Saturday, we were having an uncontrollable urge to try our hand at a risotto at home - the risotto so far was an impenetrable fortress for us. But it was the D-day today! Separately, some rice soaked for 2 hours and a small broccoli was blanched. A pack of button mushrooms was cleaned and chopped. Subscribe to: Post Comments (...

Rajeev's World: Plane Spotting At SIN
http://www.rajeevmahajan.com/2014/08/plane-spotting-at-sin.html
Keep the flame alive! Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Plane Spotting At SIN. Plane spotting at Sngapore, Changi Airport's Terminal 2 was a bit of a disappointment. Besides, Singapore Airlines and its affiliates - Silk Air, Tiger Airways and Scoot, there were hardly any beauties to spot. I frankly expected much more from Changi. Plane spotting from the Sunflower Garden - I could not resist clicking this beautiful flower with a bee on it. Finally something different - a Qatar Airways. And Etihad in the distance.

Rajeev's World: Headwinds or Tailwinds? - Some More Random Thoughts....
http://www.rajeevmahajan.com/2011/10/headwinds-or-tailwinds-some-more-random.html
Keep the flame alive! Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Some More Random Thoughts. A few weeks back, I had written a blog titled " Headwinds or Tailwinds? On the latest in aviation, including the launch of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. I received an interesting comment on the blog post from a gentleman, Mr. Rodrick Rajive. Yes, we have shrunk distances! Goes a long way from the Boeing 720s and 707s that I used to fly with my parents from Addis. The Second question is, in spite of the hype, will the Dreamliner.

Rajeev's World: Poxing out the Pox...
http://www.rajeevmahajan.com/2010/08/poxing-out-pox.html
Keep the flame alive! Wednesday, August 25, 2010. Poxing out the Pox. After days of feeling under the weather, I was forced to take a day off last Tuesday. I visited the doctor and he confirmed that it was not the worst - no malaria and no H1N1. He suggested it was a mild viral influenza. Yuck, no bathing? Yes, no bathing. I was advised to stay put at home till the last boil dries up, as during the drying up process, the infection can spread to others. That could take up to 2 weeks. And when I sleep, whi...

Keep the flame alive! Friday, March 21, 2014. Sometimes, you can't resist yourself. A few days back, I discovered this jar of duck and orange pate in the market. It was a bit expensive, but I couldn't hold myself back. My mind said don't buy, it's far too expensive. But heart and more importantly, my tongue, kept saying yes, yes and yes all the way till I reached the billing counter. Wow, meaty pink.the aroma was well delicious and umami. Truly, an Epicure's delight! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Rajeev's World: Avoid IndiGo Like The Plague....
http://www.rajeevmahajan.com/2014/12/avoid-indigo-like-plague.html
Keep the flame alive! Friday, December 5, 2014. Avoid IndiGo Like The Plague. I am really appalled how success gets to a company's head, seeps into a company's DNA and corrupts them absolutely. Over an year back, I had proudly declared on this blog of how I had become a big fan of IndiGo. However, a harrowing experience on Independence Day in 2013. What pissed me off was the sheer inefficiency of the checkin agent Deepak who took an hour and 15 mins to checkin the group of 10. Then he got into a verbal d...

We were welcomed by a Korean Air Airbus A380 taxiing towards its bay. Korean Air's blue does look magnificent. Just missed grabbing the Air Seychelles Airbus A330 rotate. The Korean Air Airbus A380 taxis towards the Air France terminal. Air France has to be big here. Air Austral now has an exciting new livery. Antonov...
