Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Today we hiked the Danny On trail, up Big Mounain. Beautiful day for a hike, and there were lots of flowers to be seen. We just got new phones, and the camera on these things is crazy good! Darrell and Melinda Steed. Dinner with the kids. Darrell and Melinda Steed. Beautiful day for a hike. The weather has cooled down, enough for us to want to get out and hike a bit. We kept it local, over at Whitefish Trail this time. Darrell and Melinda Steed. Houston, we have a problem.

The Steed Family: November 2005
http://steedfamily.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 16, 2005. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. Last night we had the first official snowfall of the season. And along with it, came the wonderful cold weather we all know and love. We got about an inch of snow overnight and into the morning mostly on the grass. The streets are clear but there were some slick spots. Last night the temperature stayed above 20, but today was a different story! We're getting ready to have some family over next week for Thanksgiving, so we're looki...

THE TRANSPLANTS: Beautiful day for a hike
http://dwsteed.blogspot.com/2015/06/beautiful-day-for-hike.html
Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Beautiful day for a hike. The weather has cooled down, enough for us to want to get out and hike a bit. We kept it local, over at Whitefish Trail this time. The overlook at Skyles Lake. On June 6, a grizzly was sighted just below this overlook, sitting on a "kill". We didn't see anything in the local paper, it was on Facebook. Kind of close in for a grizzly, I thought. Darrell and Melinda Steed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Darrell and Melinda Steed. View my complete profile.

THE TRANSPLANTS: A visit to Creede, and other goings-on
http://dwsteed.blogspot.com/2015/04/a-visit-to-creede-and-other-goings-on.html
Thursday, April 16, 2015. A visit to Creede, and other goings-on. Just beyond Creede is a 17 mile loop mine tour. Darrell wanted to take it, but I felt the truck was too big. We'll come back when we have the smaller car. The local birds have finally discovered the feeder we put up. Darrell and Luna went for a short hike on nearby Coyote Hill, about a mile up the road from our house. Finally getting some pictures hung. Darrell and Melinda Steed. I want to go on the Bachelor Mine Loop Tour!

THE TRANSPLANTS: July 2015
http://dwsteed.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 04, 2015. Located in Hot Springs, the Symes Hotel is a mecca for, well, folks who want a soak. All kinds of folks. Folks on motorcycles, old hippies, new hippies, you name it. I really felt like we were in the Twilight Zone. A trip to the past, maybe the 50's? Darrell and Melinda Steed. We made our first trip out to Polebridge Mercantile, to have one of their "pasties", a meat filled sandwich baked in homemade heavenly bread. And cookies. Darrell and Melinda Steed. THE TRANSPLANTS: August 2014
http://dwsteed.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 29, 2014. BACKPACKING UNDER OUR OWN STEAM. Nice views of the Flathead valley and lake on our way up. We reached our Twin Lakes in early afternoon, time enough to explore the area for a campsite, and let Luna take a swim to cool off. Our tent (Big Agnes) went up nicely, and we were ready for the evening. Darrell filters our water pre-dinnertime. Gotta have water for that tasty chili-mac! Everything tastes good after you've hiked carrying your home on your back. Darrell and Melinda Steed.
