Kara Flynns continuing blog and random ramblings of transgender &. Transsexual related thoughts on life through and after transition. Tuesday, May 01, 2012. I sorta feel like I'm going through my late 20's again. A number of my teammates are either getting married, having babies, or both. Unlike my late 20's, though, I now get invites to baby showers. The most recent baby shower invitation, though, has the following sentence:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I've worked with numerous San Francisco Bay Area L...

Road to Venus: David Alan Grier Loves Transsexuals

Kara Flynns continuing blog and random ramblings of transgender &. Transsexual related thoughts on life through and after transition. Thursday, June 05, 2014. David Alan Grier Loves Transsexuals. My girlfriend, C, heard David Alan Grier on the radio a few months ago and bought us tickets to a comedy show in San Francisco for that night. She thought he was funny and I had remembered liking him from In Living Color. It sounded like a fun time. Tragedy is your dog dying. Comedy is your cat dying.". Unfortun...

Kara Flynns continuing blog and random ramblings of transgender &. Transsexual related thoughts on life through and after transition. Saturday, August 11, 2012. It was Pride in San Francisco two months ago, and it's about time that I reviewed the films that I went to see:. And Kiss Me will probably be considered third place in this group of three. Overall, it was a pretty good for an independent film. In this excellent documentary on the Tom Waddell Health Center, we see the many stories about a facility...

Kara Flynns continuing blog and random ramblings of transgender &. Transsexual related thoughts on life through and after transition. Tuesday, February 18, 2014. It is hard to believe that 10 years ago, at this moment, I was unconscious on an operating table with Dr. Ousterhout rearranging my face. While it cost a huge chunk of money and took months to fully recover, it was one hell of an investment. The thing I heard years later, though, was that everyone noticed how much happier I was after transition.

Road to Venus: Keeping Jelly Belly's out of kids hands
http://roadtovenus.blogspot.com/2013/11/keeping-jelly-bellys-out-of-kids-hands.html
Kara Flynns continuing blog and random ramblings of transgender &. Transsexual related thoughts on life through and after transition. Wednesday, November 06, 2013. Keeping Jelly Belly's out of kids hands. Apologies for not posting much at all this year. I started dating C about six months ago and have enjoyed spending a significant amount of time with her. Also, I ran across another article about the chairman of Jelly Belly donating money against the California law that protects trans-kids. Yes you have ...

Kara Flynns continuing blog and random ramblings of transgender &. Transsexual related thoughts on life through and after transition. Monday, August 10, 2015. Dance Like a Man. I've been catching up on my summer TV shows lately, and I wish I had stayed more up to date with So You Think You Can Dance. When I was watching their "Vegas" week, I noticed one of the male dancers, named Moises Parra, that danced with great skill but had a definite feminine aura about him. Moises is not built that big, which is ...

Kara Flynns continuing blog and random ramblings of transgender &. Transsexual related thoughts on life through and after transition. Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Transgender Day of Remembrance 2012. I attended my first Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 20, 2002. That event was ten years ago and was just months into my own transition. At that time, Gwen Araujo had been killed the previous month by four young men and a girl who decided to rat Gwen out at an intoxicating party. It lists 72 transgen...

Probably Never, Week 7: Claire
http://probablynever.com/archive/7.html
Claire was the big sister I never had. She was there for me in ways I did not realize I needed and now she is gone. I have no idea what happened to her, if she is alive or dead. This was by design. In 2004 I was spending all my time reading online about Gender Dysphoria. Specifically I found a set of blogs by transwomen who were in various stages of transition and documenting every step. Even more than that, they were documenting their everyday lives while in transition. Who was a goofball but described ...
