New year, new website!

New year, new website! I started working on a new website one week before the new year, hoping to finish it on the 1st of january. Today, just two days later than planned, I'm launching it! And doesn't really require any plugins at all. So the current page you are looking at, is created with Jekyll. Serving only static files making it faster and it requires no PHP or other backend code to run, which made things a little easier for me since my backend skills are limited. The Lab contains experiments, proof of concepts and other little stand-alone projects. Most of the posts in the lab started as a learning exercise to understand new techniques. You could also see this as my personal playground, not everything in here is good enough for a production website but has been fun working on it! Product order (ecommerce concept). One year ago (on september 1st 2013) I started working for the NOS, and I’m convinced it’s one of the best choices I’ve made. Even though most of the things I’ve developed for the NOS are not responsive, I still have learned a lot about it. We are currently working on a massive responsive website (soon to be released) which forces me to come up with durable and solid Responsive solutions. I got my hands on a developer preview of the Firefox OS phone! I got myself the Keon version, which is the low-end version compared to the Peak. It still hasnt replaced my iPhone because of the simcard issue but since Im very used to iMessage and WhatsApp, Im still not sure if it will ever replace my iPhone.
