The Me Show: September 2011
http://meshow.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 30, 2011. Operation Awesomepants: Month 1 Results and Reflections. Today is September 30th, which makes tomorrow October 1st, which means that the first month of Operation Awesomepants, whose theme was energy, is coming to a close. So, did I keep my resolutions? Did keeping them dramatically improve my life and make me a happier non-camper? What the what is this? Do you think it rumbles with Sunny D? Does orange juice look down on it with disdain? 1 Go to sleep earlier. 5 Make the Effort.

http://meshow.blogspot.com/2013/01/teach-your-children-well.html
Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Teach Your Children Well. Hello, old friends! We're finally starting to come up for air here at Me Show Central after a relentless whirlwind of Halloween, colds, Thanksgiving, colds, stomach flu, Christmas, sleep training, colds, New Years, and colds. That's an overwhelming list to try to recap in one post, so let me just say this:. Larsen ladies in effect, y'all! You see those people? The little ones snuggling in that chair? 15 months, and all we did was read books all day long.

The Me Show: June 2011
http://meshow.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 16, 2011. A Few Of My Favorite Things. Among other things, I really appreciate:. 1 Baseball, and. 2 Jokes about body fluids. So you can imagine my delight when I saw this ad in the "ladies'" room at Safeco Field last night. That there is an ad for tampons that uses a sports metaphor in a spatially appropriate and effluvially hilarious way. Hurrah, Playtex! I salute (if not purchase) you! Tuesday, June 14, 2011. The Me Show: 'Til Death, Dammit.
http://meshow.blogspot.com/2013/02/til-death-dammit.html
Monday, February 18, 2013. Til Death, Dammit. I don't know why they're so tired. I sleep fine, as long as someone nurses me constantly after dark and puts my binky back in my mouth after each of the 8,000 times I spit it out at night. Making up from a sleep-deprivation-induced marital skirmish last week, this exchange took place as we read our respective books (his on statistics, mine on hiking - neither of which we practice) and attempted to make up (MULTITASKING! Before going to sleep.

Sunday, October 30, 2011. Operation Awesomepants: Look Who's Balking! Before we begin, why don't you look at my sweet Halloween punkins? They are luminous, no? And now on to the less luminous of our October doings. Dudes, I have been crazy off the resolution wagon this month. CRAZY off the resolution wagon, I tell you, and in a remarkably predictable way. I start all big projects just like this:. Step 1: Huge declaration of intent. Step 2: Phenomenal dedication to goal. Step 3: Minor initial success!

Saturday, July 30, 2011. First, a warning to my readers with delicate sensibilities. This post is full of lewd jokes and double [even triple! Entendres. So, if you're made uncomfortable by this kind of talk [DAD], then please look at this. Instead. All others please proceed.). Friends, I have good news and bad news. The bad first. The Mariners are trading Doug Fister, whose name has brought me endless joy and jokes, to the Detroit Tigers. Awww, come on! Hasn't Detroit been fisted enough? Is this thing on?
