Today Matthew came home and announced that he and 3 other friends from Notre Dame High School had won the Ottawa Catholic School Board Math Olympics. I was surprised! I vaguely remember signing a permission slip for him to enter the competition. It was a pleasant surprise. I just never thought anything of it. There were 14 schools in total and most of them had 2 teams per school. They did well. Wow, that is so important. Or subscribe to the feed.

My Daily Thoughts To Share …. Posted at March 27, 2014. After spending 3 weeks up north in Deer Lake, we were happy to welcome Kyle home. What a sight though! He said the beard kept him warm during the cold work days and didn’t need a balaclava. The kids and I didn’t like it at all and he wasn’t so excited about having a beard either. He spent the first day home sleeping and then the next day we decided it was time to clean up. First we shave the head. No more scruffy dad. Or subscribe to the feed.

Friday, April 10, 2015. Missing the sun kissed skin. I went to bed hoping to wake up to an azure sky and yes, couldn't have asked for a better day. (Weather the next few days was scorchingly unbearable though). So, to Patong beach! Writing this entry makes combating wanderlust a difficulty. Anyone else feels my pain? Anyhow, enjoy the visuals! Pictures can be so deceiving. it's not actually as relaxing out there as these pictures may suggest as the heat was too insane to bare. Still in awe with its beauty.
