Post-Doctoral Researcher, Amend Lab, University of Hawai'i, Manoa. 1 The diet of an endangered tree snail across phyllospheres. I am currently working on a project that uses high-throughput Miseq DNA sequencing to determine variance in the diet of a federally endangered tree snail,. Will not follow in this trend of decline. The microbiology of the diet of these animals could be crucial to understanding how they can be successfully relocated into predator-proof enclosures or ex situ culture facilities.

A Year in Washington, DC! This year, I left my middle school science classroom for an even more challenging and rewarding workplace —. The United States Congress. Though I had to take a break from blogging while in my post, I am now able to share some reflections on my fellowship experience. So, why did move from Hawai'i to Washington, D.C. for the year? Did I get to do? It all began when I was one of 11 STEM educators honored with an Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship. No Child Left Behind.
