Wistful wanderings. Good-bye for now, Thailand. – the graceful traveler

Wistful wanderings. Good-bye for now, Thailand. December 6, 2013. October 30, 2014. It seems like so much longer than eight months, which in a lifetime, is just barely a turn of the page. I came here thinking that I needed a perspective shift, a new path, to shake things up. What I didn’t know was that I also needed to slow down, observe, appreciate and this has made these eight months joyful, purposeful, and full of light. But more than the haphazard delight of the streets, I’ll miss the smiles and the ...

This WordPress.com site is the cat’s pajamas. August 10, 2013. Hurry Up and Wait. Airport #1 Ft Lauderdale. Three more hours to go until I board the long flight to Hong Kong. Already seeing the Asian culture at the Cathay Pacific counter waiting for my boarding passes. Gaggles of pretty little stewardesses strolling by in impeccable powder blue suits with funny collars and pointy hats. Reminds me of the scene from Catch Me If You Can! To be continued…. Airport #3 Hong Kong. And finally airport #4 Bangkok.

Not in the Pink. Outpourings of Narcissism and Neurosis. 8211; Reading List. My Favourite Vegetarian Korean Food. How long has it been since I did a food post? Korea is a nation of meat lovers. Meat and fish are in everything. In fact, in some areas, people look at you as though you’ve just escaped from the local loony bin if you dare to order something “without the meat.”. It’s a good thing I moved here, right? I’ve been a vegetarian for 12 years now. I don’t. But, over time, when you start getting a bi...

Paris Love – Ahsknaka
https://ahsknaka.wordpress.com/2016/02/08/paris-love
February 8, 2016. February 8, 2016. I have grown up listening to people raving about Paris. The city of love, elegance, fabulous food…well add ‘French’ before anything and it sounds exquisite. And Paris is the epitome of everything exquisite and elegant. But until recently, I didn’t really believe those under the spell of the city. I thought they just wanted to boast about a place which is often said to be the playground of the elite and Bourjois. And then Paris happened. Being an art afficianado, Paris ...
