Great Get Away 2007. Can you believe that we have been doing this for about 22 years now as a group? We do hope the spring weather is a bit kinder this year to the resort so that they can have the docks in their proper placements. Last year was quite interesting with the lake levels being so high. The channel between North and South Twin lake was more like a lake itself rather than a passageway. Remember the floating cattail islands just in front of the cabin? That was quite a sight!

AMERICAN ANGLER'S CLUB MAP PAGE. Dusty, Quincy lakes. The March early opener is not that far away and these lakes are about a 2 hour drive from Seattle. Dusty lake is a hike in lake but the distance is manageable with a float tube and fly gear. There are numerous other lakes in the area plus you are not too far from the Moses lake Potholes area with many more to choose from.

We will bring a few more gallons of boat fuel this year as we ran a bit tight during 2004. The fuel can was a bit on the low side at the end of the 2004 trip. This had the potential to limit the fishing options had we not been able to drift the weedbeds so effectivly. We also noted the need for a small bottle of spirits whose seal is not to be broken until the last evening of our trip. A small bottle of Crown Royal would suffice for a toast to another years adventure. Did I say weeks?
