American Bushman: Revisiting an Old Friend

http://americanbushman.blogspot.com/2013/12/revisiting-old-friend.html

If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead, either write things worth reading or do things worth writing.". Thursday, December 05, 2013. Revisiting an Old Friend. After a text conversation with Mike of Grindstone Cutlery, I had to pull out an old friend and see what it was that made it such a favored tool. The Fallkniven F1 has been my "go to" blade for a long time now and this one, my first, has seen plenty of wear and modification. Thanks for reading,. Posted by American Bushman @ 10:09 AM.

If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead, either write things worth reading or do things worth writing.". Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Need to Get Out. Just not much going on these days besides bike racing, housework, and kid activities. American Bushman: The Hobo Stove

http://americanbushman.blogspot.com/2007/12/hobo-stove.html

If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead, either write things worth reading or do things worth writing.". Friday, December 21, 2007. Several months ago I mentioned buying a cutlery caddy from Ikea. And yesterday I finally took my Dremel Tool to it to open up a fuel door and then ran a test burn and boil. I used my drop point knife from ML Knives. For all the splitting and carving of larger pieces of firewood to reduce them to a useable size. Can you believe the patina on that beauty?

A blog about a Scotsmans journey as a tracker and backwoodsman who is expanding his skill sets. Friday, April 12, 2013. Cappadocia and ancient preppers. After about 20 days traveling we found ourselves arriving in Goreme. We arrived at night and it felt like we had landed on another planet. The silhouettes of the buildings with the lights shining from the windows was very eerie. While we were there we went to visit the ancient underground cities in Derinkuyu. This really flies in the face of hording load...

I decided on making it more of a hiking and exploring kind of day, rather than a bushcraft skills practice kind of day. It was good to get out and enjoy the sights and sounds of spring. I am looking forwar...
