New Clear Skies: The State of Things
http://newclearskies.blogspot.com/2010/01/state-of-things.html
Monday, January 18, 2010. The State of Things. Hey, everyone. Sorry for the long hiatus; final exams and winter break yanked me away from writing for a while there. I thought I'd take a moment and reflect on what's been happening around us recently. California is considering legalizing marijuana not just for medical use, but also recreational. Gay marriage is up for consideration in NJ and NY. Obama is proposing a tax to "recover" the bailout money. The war stumbles forward. The War on Guns.

New Clear Skies: This Is What I Come Back To...?!
http://newclearskies.blogspot.com/2009/10/this-is-what-i-come-back-to.html
Friday, October 9, 2009. This Is What I Come Back To? Hey, everyone. Sorry for the massive gap in posting; school had me held up pretty tight for a while there. The beginning of the semester is always rough. So I come back to the arena and I find this in my news byte: Obama has just been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. What the Nobel Prize Committee just proved to the world is that if everyone (the media) likes you, you can win the Nobel Prize. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The War on Guns.

Steve Lafleur: Can immigration save Detroit?
http://stevelafleur.blogspot.com/2011/05/can-immigration-save-detroit.html
Commentary on culture, public policy, and urban affairs from a classical liberal perspective. Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Can immigration save Detroit? In my latest article at New Geography, I argue that targeted immigration should be used to stem Detroit's demographic and economic decline before it's too late. The only alternative is razing much of the city to the ground, which has already begun. The model for this already exists in a surprising place: Winnipeg. Click here to read the full article.

Those who dance...: April 2010
http://michelleldub.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Are considered insane by those who can't hear the music. Sunday, April 18, 2010. Picking on someone at her intellectual level. Had a party this weekend. It's nice to have friends my age, and a boyfriend my age who is fucking awesome, and a sweet little girl to entertain me and make me smile all day. I think the best part of a new relationship is that there aren't any arguments at all. None of that "why the hell did I get with him? When he's not around. Links to this post. http://michelleldub.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Are considered insane by those who can't hear the music. Saturday, November 7, 2009. They don't see the irony in this AT ALL. Hey friends, stalkers, and assholes- I am now on myspace. I don't really know if I like it or not, but I figured I was the only American non-Amish under the age of 25 who didn't have a myspace, so I signed up. The url is www.myspace.com/floridashelley if anyone gives a crap. Instead of "where you at? 1) close by (if my kid has an emergency, I don't want her to be in buttfuck egypt).
