But there's a world of difference in the taste - it's tough to believe that you didn't spend a lot of time over a steaming pot to get this good a soup on the family table. 189; c. salsa (drain off liquid). 1 can refried beans. 1 can black beans, drained. 2 cans chicken stock. Saturday, January 29, 2011. Ana made this soupy chili for her family while she was staying with Baba last summer. Since it contained herbs and spices besides the big 4 (salt, pepper, paprika, parsley), it was not part of her limited palate. After the Zackrisons went back to Boston, Baba convinced me to take home the leftovers. Now I often make it for myself. 1 TBSP Vegetable Oil. 1 LB Skinned, boned chicken breast halves, chopped. 189; cup chopped shallots3 garlic cloves, minced. 16 oz chicken broth.

Monday, December 20, 2010. For the holidays, family members used to gather together to serve up a huge, memorable meal and everyone would dig in. Sad to say, those days are gone. Now it seems that so many people have special dietary requirements that sometimes it seems that a holiday meal should come with nutritional information attached. Bad trans fat levels? White flour rather than healthier wheat? So - while I worry about this sort of things for smaller dinners, for the holidays I figure: Too bad!
