It's a litter bug, but seems to be worth it for the month of June when it looks like a tree carrying white flowers. Awesome. It's a ...

Of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men. Joel 1:12. Saturday, July 30, 2011. So, if this would provide a green, consistent hedge or shade tree once established. It is tolerant to intense heat, cold and winds. Take home message: Hardy, green plant. That won't leave you feeling high and dry when the rest of the world is.

Of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men. Joel 1:12. Sunday, June 12, 2011. TUCSON: February 2012

http://spenceanna.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Some thoughts in southern arizona. Monday, February 27, 2012. Follow the path past the Lodge, the tennis courts, the pool on the right, and the garden. Onate's clinic is the last long building on the far end of the campus.". Great," I said. He showed me his schedule of the day. We were to see three patients and then he had a meeting after lunch. "I'm usually out of here by two," Onate said. That thought I held in my head about his job being the best in medicine almost slipped down to my tongu...After int...

TUCSON: February 2013

http://spenceanna.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Some thoughts in southern arizona. Saturday, February 23, 2013. The first weekend in February was a big weekend for Beth. Spencer blessed her (and did a wonderful job! That was a wonderful experience where I felt, yet again, just how blessed we are to have her here and how happy I am to be her mom. The weekend also brought lots of other excitement. Pops (Anna's dad) visited from Salt Lake. He and Beth took some good naps together :) But, we also went on some adventures. The views were gorgeous! She just ...

Some thoughts in southern arizona. Saturday, November 9, 2013. Red Badge of Courage. I happened to get beyond "hello" and even asked my senior if he was going to go out tonight or hit the hay. I always go out," he said, before answering the phone. I left the conversation at that. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). What Your Beard Says About You. Words on our nightstand. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. TUCSON: December 2012

http://spenceanna.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html

Some thoughts in southern arizona. Thursday, December 13, 2012. My life is a walk down the hospital floor. Hello Bev. How was your weekend? Hey Dr. Ryan (Ryan is the nurse who teaches me all about effective pain meds.) Your Broncos are doin' a ton better since I last saw you! Uhthat's amazing, I said, trying not to sound cliche. Wait! What did you say! How much was your dowry? Now what head and shoulders do you use? What color is the bottle? Is it the new blue head and shoulders? And cost-effective at th...

TUCSON: PLAYING IN THE RAIN

http://spenceanna.blogspot.com/2013/08/playing-in-rain.html

Some thoughts in southern arizona. Tuesday, August 13, 2013. PLAYING IN THE RAIN. Beth was introduced to monsoons a few weeks ago: as we came out of the grocery store, a huge downpour started. Just between the door of the store and our car, we were completely. Drenched. So I decided to take advantage. We spent the next 1/2 hour splashing in puddles and dancing in the rain. Beth was really cute- cooing and holding her hands out to catch the rain. When it comes to rain, she's a girl after my own heart :).

Some thoughts in southern arizona. Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Fun With Cousins (and aunts and uncles and grandparents). We did a trip to Newport Beach with my (Anna's) family last week and had SO much fun! Beth had a blast playing on the beach with cousins, but that wasn't all she did. We also. Got pedicures with all the girls,. I wish I could get a good picture of her toenails. They are the cutest neon pink! Practiced tummy time with Baby Caleb and Andrew,. Rode the ferry with Pops,. Goofed off with Lucy,.

TUCSON: March 2012

http://spenceanna.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Some thoughts in southern arizona. Thursday, March 29, 2012. How many other countries have yard sales embedded as a social norm? I can strike off Israel, Brasil, Ghana, France, Mexico, and Egypt because I've been there over weekends, never seeing yard sales. I read this in my textbook: "Essential tremor often responds briefly but dramatically to ethanol consumption, which may be a useful diagnostic feature." I always find it interesting when medicine and The Word of Wisdom intersect in a most perpend...

Some thoughts in southern arizona. Thursday, May 17, 2012. Aphorisms and Stories while Driving Ms. Patsy. I pulled into Patsy's driveway, yesterday. It was a burning day, above 100. And at noon, you could've fried a rock. But the driveway was shaded by a desert willow and neighboring sweet sycamore, so there was respite while I walked up to her front door. The door was swinging open before I made it to the knob. Patsy was ready. Did you graduate high school? Did you get your Eagle Scout? Patsy spends any...

TUCSON: FAVORITE HANG OUT SPOT

http://spenceanna.blogspot.com/2013/08/favorite-hang-out-spot.html

Some thoughts in southern arizona. Tuesday, August 13, 2013. FAVORITE HANG OUT SPOT. Lately, Beth LOVES hanging out in sinks! She especially loves the bathroom sink with all the cool "toys" around it (toothbrushes, combs, soap, etc.). Will y'all think I'm a terrible mom if I tell you she probably spends about an hour each day hanging out in one sink or another? Hey, at least she's happy! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). TUCSON: Beach Bum

http://spenceanna.blogspot.com/2013/08/beach-bum.html

Some thoughts in southern arizona. Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Yet another Beth loves: THE BEACH! We took a trip to Newport Beach and had a great time. I was nervous about how she would react to the sand, the waves, the water, the sun, etc. But she seemed to love it all! She would squeal and screech in the waves, sing as we walked on the beach, and stuff her mouth with sand whenever possible (aka Mom wasn't looking). Yet again, she seems to be a girl after my own heart! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Time Has Come. Wed, 7th April, 2010. The trees of our planet anchor our souls to the ground and our child can grab hold of them to keep from being swept away. They comfort us and without them our lives would be hard to imagine. We have accepted the invitation to live among these towering giants yet they need our care. Caring for our trees takes a courageous fellow with unusual confidence and pride who can trust the tree. How could we live among such giants if it were not for the treeman?
