A place to share my adventures through knitting and crochet. Thursday, October 2, 2008. Hello all of you out there in the blogosphere! I'm sorry that I've largely disappeared but I wanted you to know that I am alive and well. I've just been dying a bit under the start of grad school. I've earned a day off today so I'm finally starting getting back to some things. Hopefully there will be updates on my knitting here very soon but in the mean time I have send out a thank you to my secret pal! Dental pointe ...

Faerie Crafty: More stash
http://faeriecrafty.blogspot.com/2008/10/more-stash.html
Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Just an update on other random stash I've acquired in the past few months. July's kit which is a dye your own and it came with Kool-aid to dye with. I can't wait to try it. August's kit which was designed by Robyn. And dyed by Tanis Fibre Arts. The ladies at Ariadne. Decided to put my favourite yarn on clearance and I obviously couldn't resist. I only bought two colours in christmas-y colours to maybe make something for the holidays. At my first visit to Effiloché. And last bu...

Faerie Crafty: Icewine mitten and Alpaca yarn
http://faeriecrafty.blogspot.com/2008/10/icewine-mitten-and-alpaca-yarn.html
Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Icewine mitten and Alpaca yarn. So I started knitting the first Icewine Mitten. Only to discover that the green I chose didn't work at all with the purple. Too dark and barely visible when knit in fair-isle. I set out on a hunt for a better green and finally found an Ultra Alpaca. Supplier in Montreal. I set out to Effiloché. Here the first mitt:. http://faeriecrafty.blogspot.com/2008/11/more-fos.html
Saturday, November 22, 2008. Apparently November has been kind of a slow month. I only managed to get a couple more things finished. First I finished the Icewine mittens (The second was considerably faster than the first). In the end I ended up ripping out the thumb of the first too to change the placement of the border and then make it longer. Here they are in all their glory. Berocco Ultra Alpaca - Pea Soup Mix 6275 and Prune Mix 6284. US 3 / 3.25 mm. Sept 12th, 2008 - Nov 10th, 2008. US 5 / 3.75 mm.
