Thursday, August 28, 2014. Wait for me at the end of the sidewalk. This morning Alexander was the last to leave. He was up and dressed in no time, and I let him hang out on the couch and watch some TV before school started. Amid Life: Leave your glasses behind... why sometimes you don't want to see the details!

http://amidlifeandsuch.blogspot.com/2013/02/leave-your-glasses-behind-why-sometimes.html

Monday, February 18, 2013. Leave your glasses behind. why sometimes you don't want to see the details! My eyesight isn't very good. It's getting worse by the year, dare I say day? I started wearing glasses in college to help me see the chalkboard better. Remember those? Do kids even know that these are? It's amazing how freeing it is to look at oneself and not to be able to see faults, but only the good! February 22, 2013 at 5:02 PM. Blog like this one these days. February 23, 2013 at 4:17 AM. Amid Life: getting there...

http://amidlifeandsuch.blogspot.com/2014/06/getting-there.html

Thursday, June 26, 2014. Over the course of the month I have celebrated a Birthday (was going to write about that) and I have celebrated the passing of a wedding anniversary as a divorced woman (was going to write about that as well.) I recently read an article by a young, happily married man denouncing divorce and said that he'd never get one. This angered me so. (I was going to write about that too.). Labels: children of divorce. July 7, 2014 at 7:42 AM. So well said, Jessica. I can SO relate.

Amid Life: You are beautiful! (Pass it on!)

http://amidlifeandsuch.blogspot.com/2012/03/you-are-beautiful-pass-it-on.html

Saturday, March 3, 2012. I want to see things from your point of view, I may not agree, but I want to see what makes you tick and what rocks your world. Nothing had changed about me. Nothing at all. I brushed my hair. I stood tall. I looked into my eyes. I hadn't changed. I was still me. I was still pretty, witty, funny and smart and how dare someone dictate how I feel about myself. Why do we do that? I hope you all can learn something from my little lesson. March 3, 2012 at 4:19 PM. I reeled from her cr...

Amid Life: How do you handle disappointment?

http://amidlifeandsuch.blogspot.com/2014/07/how-do-you-handle-disappointment.html

Wednesday, July 16, 2014. How do you handle disappointment? I've seen and experienced a lot of disappointment over the years. I've had my share. I keep thinking it's time for that rainbow and that figurative pot of gold. At some point my luck has to change, doesn't it? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Just like that, she wants to play the piano. or maybe they won't. And then I was told that they may even donate the piano somewhere. DONATE it somewhere? I don't think in my 47 years I have EVER. I can handle a...

Amid Life-A Journey

One woman's journaling through breast cancer and life thereafter. Sunday, February 22, 2015. A Look Back at Where I've Come From. I met that infamous five year mark! They never tell you when "that" time starts when you start that trek. Some say as soon as you have (surgery, chemo, radiation). Others say when your treatments are done. Still others say once you are declared cancer free. My doctors never said the phrase 'cancer-free', but my test results came back showing no cancer. I learned, or should say...

A Battle With Depression and Life Beyond The Grey! You Are Not Alone! Gratitude and Thanks…. Feeling Left Out Again…. Posted by D.J. Haswell. June 15, 2013.
