It was a year ago that we decided to completely upend our lives and move to Tennessee. We wanted to view retirement and this eternal vacation, and while in many ways it has been just that, of course the reality is that there is no such thing as an eternal vacation. Eventually reality sets in . but in our case it has been very slow in settling. My range there, too.

Saturday, March 14, 2009. Alive, kickin' and bitten. If there are any readers of this blog who haven't given up on me, I apologize for the 10 weeks absence. But, I am, indeed, alive and kickin. There were good kids, trouble makers, athletes, musicians, loners, nerds, etc. Some of the labels were deserved and others were not. I must have looked particularly ancient last Wednesday because not only did I get the discount, but the bag girl walked me to my car, loaded my groceries and opened and closed my car door for me.
