La Villa Children's Village. Bolivia has the second lowest Human Development Index in South America, and more than half its population live below the national poverty line. Over 2.5 million Bolivian children suffer from malnutrition, abuse or abandonment, more than 60% of the entire child population. For over 25 years, Amistad has been addressing these challenges, in Christ’s name, by finding lasting ways to improve the lives of the poor and vulnerable—one child, one family at a time.

Or perhaps it is the limitless hope revealed in the eyes of a child who was once alone but now knows the love of a family.
