Federated Repositories with Virtual MDM. Federated Repositories with Virtual MDM. We faced an issue recently configuring IBM InfoSphere MDM v11.0. Our requirement was to provision users from two Active Directory Domains, so we configured a Federated Repository in WAS 8.5.5.1. We tested repository with one of our test applications and it was able to work with user base from both the domains but virtual MDM refused to start up as it was not able to resolve group membership of of users.
