Monday, 15 February 2016. Rice - 1 cup. Water - 3 cups. Milk - 1 cup. Jaggery - 2 cups. Ghee - 2 tbsp. Cashews - 10 broken. Cloves - 3 pieces. Simple steps to prepare sweet pongal. 1) Take 1 glass of rice in a bowl and pour 3 glasses of water in it. 2) Boil the rice until 90% has cooked,. 3) Now add 2 cups of jaggery paste into the rice and boil for 5 mins (make jaggery as paste by heating in a bowl). 4) Add 1 glass of milk to it boil for 5 mins,add 2 spoons of ghee to it. 7) Mix well and serve hot.
