Friday, August 8, 2008. Toordal - 1rice cup. Green chilis: 3-4 slit horizontally. Curry leaves, mustard seeds, jeera, red chillies, garlic, hing or asafoetida -pinch, oil. Pressure cook dal, tomatoes, greenchilis, chilipowder, salt and turmeric. 1cup dal needs 2 1/2 upcs of water. Once the dal is cooked heat pan add oil and season it with garlic, curryleaves, jeera, mustard seeds, redchilis and asafoetida or hing. Mix this seasoning on dal and garnish with corriander leaves.
