Courage. Confidence. Conviction. 2 I think this October and November is Engagement fever. Seriously, if it takes that long to notice, I can't imagine you interact that often. Though I do have to shamefacedly admit that I mostly lurk facebook to see friend's photos, or read and comment on status updates, though I rarely send messages. As to 2, does this mean congratulations are in order? It seemsa tad cryptic :p. Oh no no, I'm not engaged! It's just that 6 people I know have gotten all engaged at once!

A Field Guide to Glendons Carolinian Forest Ecosystem. November 23rd, 2006. Nov 23rd, 2006 at 9:11 AM. The Don River has been used as a dump site for industrial waste. The areas around Glendon Forest had been converted to farm land in the 1800s for pioneers to live on. In the 1900s, it was re-channeled to reduce (and hopefully, eradicate) the spring flooding that happens each year. A road once traveled through Glendon Forest, with thoughts that it may have been Lawrence Avenue. Schools surround this ravi...

As you follow the left path, keep your eyes open for a shrub called a. The ones you would spot as you walk the pathway are on the riverbank, away from you.

A Field Guide to Glendons Carolinian Forest Ecosystem. A Closer Look: Dog-Strangling Vine. Nov 23rd, 2006 at 11:26 AM. The Dog-strangling Vine is a non-native species in Canada, introduced to Ottawa for studies as filler for life jackets. It ended up being distributed in Toronto, and has become a large problem here. Aptly named, the vine takes over an area, strangles out all other plants, and then proceeds to set traps for casual pedestrians, not expecting to get caught in the grip of a plant. During the...

A Field Guide to Glendons Carolinian Forest Ecosystem. Typical Plants in Carolinian Canada. Nov 23rd, 2006 at 11:29 AM. In Glendon Forest there are a variety of both herbaceous plants, and trees, which help shape a complex ecosystem. The way the ecosystem functions changes from one area to the next. For instance, in one drier and relatively disturbed area, the North Meadow. As for the lowland, you'll find that. That decompose some of the dead trees. On the Glendon Slope. On the Far Slope. Other plants th...
